Today, Sunday, I return to the Mountain for another attempt to Summit and so finish the hike. Parts of me just don’t want to go, it’s a challenging climb and I don’t feel up to it. Not like me because I love the mountains and Katahdin is one of our most loved. Well I have 6 hours of driving and an overnight at the base to realign my thinking. I want to enjoy the last 5.2 miles of the Appalachian Trail. I want to get over my fears and love this Mountain.
Going back to finish
